Professor Bankey L. Dubey, Ph.D.
A distinguished pioneer in projective techniques and the leading global authority on the Somatic Inkblot Series (SIS).
Academic Leadership
He serves as President of the Somatic Inkblot Society (2012–2019 and 2024–present), Editor Emeritus of the SIS Journal of Projective Psychology & Mental Health (since 2006), and heads the SIS Internet Therapy Division. He served as President of the Indian Association of Clinical Psychologists in 1984 and 1985. He is also Director of the SIS Center in Anchorage, Alaska, and a Fellow of the Somatic Inkblot Society (FSIS).

Seminal Research & Publications
A renowned author, educator, and coach, Dr. Dubey co-authored the seminal book Inkblot Personality Test: Understanding the Unconscious Mind (SAGE Publications, 2019). He has published four books and approximately 170 research papers, earning six Best Paper Research Awards in the United States (1991, 1992, 1996, 2000, and 2008).
Education & Training
Dr. Dubey earned his Master's in Psychology in 1965 and completed 26 months of postgraduate training (leading to D.M.&S.P.) at NIMHANS, Bangalore, in 1968.
He received his DPM in 1975 and Ph.D. in 1978, with doctoral research on Army personnel using the Rorschach test. In 1991, he underwent specialized training under Dr. Wilfred Cassell (USA).
Global Influence
Widely recognized internationally, Dr. Dubey has led workshops and presented on the Rorschach and Somatic Inkblot Test across the United States (Anchorage, Boston, San Francisco), Europe (Geneva, Amsterdam, Brussels), Australia (Sydney, Hobart), and Asia (Singapore).
