Bankey L. Dubey
Professor Bankey L. Dubey is a distinguished clinical psychologist, pioneer in projective techniques, and leading expert on the Somatic Inkblot Series (SIS).
Academic Leadership
He serves as President of the Somatic Inkblot Society (2012–2019 and 2024–present), Editor Emeritus of the SIS Journal of Projective Psychology & Mental Health (since 2006), and heads the SIS Internet Therapy Division.
Directing the SIS Center in Anchorage, Alaska
Dr. Dubey co-authored the seminal book Inkblot Personality Test: Understanding the Unconscious Mind (SAGE Publications, 2019). He has published four books and approximately 170 research papers, earning six Best Paper Research Awards in the United States.
Education & Training
Dr. Dubey earned his Master's in Psychology in 1965 and completed postgraduate training at NIMHANS, Bangalore, in 1968. He received his Ph.D. in 1978, with doctoral research on Army personnel using the Rorschach test.
Global Influence
Widely recognized internationally, Dr. Dubey has led workshops and presented on the Rorschach and Somatic Inkblot Test across the United States, Europe, Australia, and Asia.
